Meet Miriam
FOUNDER AND OWNER
Behind every cookie, tamale, and lunch box is a story of resilience. Miriam didn’t start with a business plan, she started with survival. After losing her job and navigating depression while raising her children, she found hope in her kitchen. Alfajores became her therapy, her church community became her first customers, and each sale brought a little light back into her life.
As her confidence grew, so did her craft. She studied hospitality and culinary arts, earned scholarships, and turned her setbacks into opportunities. From pop-up events to large-scale catering, Miriam’s journey is one of quiet courage, fierce determination, and the joy of proving to herself, and others, that dreams can rise, even from the toughest beginnings.
About the Company
MISSION AND VALUES
We specialize in Latin-inspired comfort food with bold flavors and heart. What started with 12 homemade alfajores has expanded into full-service catering for up to 100+ guests, including beautifully packaged lunch boxes, savory soups, and traditional tamales.
Our mission is simple:
-
Celebrate culture through cuisine
-
Empower communities with opportunity
-
Make every event feel personal and delicious
Rooted in values of honesty, family, and grit, the company thrives on word-of-mouth, and meaningful relationships.
We’re proud to use our kitchen, collaborate with small teams, and build the menu from scratch with care to ensure it fits our clients to the best of our ability.
